If someone thinks that Honda Rune – a chopper, be wrong. This is a real custom made in the style of Long and Low – an elongated and low. This is one of the few bikes, designed in the California design studios Honda specifically for the American market.

Grip works as smoothly as the six-cylinder engine is gaining momentum. Transfer it can not be considered. With speeds of 50 km / h it can smoothly, without jerks transmission speed up even in fifth gear. The magic of the six cylinders plays a big role – is to try once, and did not want anything else. Of course! The engine has just steam traction – 167 Nm of torque available even at 4000 r / min. Since it takes off the bike as good sportbike. A couple of seconds – and I have a meal at “a hundred”.
The original design of the fork (like “Springer”), contrary to my expectations, good job with their work, gently practicing irregularities. But this design provokes sticky wheel on the side turning at low speeds. When the velocity crosses over a hundred, this effect disappears. Rear Suspension Pro-Link system is a harder, but because the bike is designed to smooth the American highway – is not it?
Also important is the fact that the bike slows down as quickly as it accelerates. His brakes – the most advanced and powerful of all three. First of all, it is a merit of the combined system in which the rear brake pedal at the same time influences the secondary piston front calipers triplex. But when you click on only one front brake the bike slows down with surprising enthusiasm. It may sound strange, but the radial brake calipers for Suzuki Intruder M1800R showed themselves worse. For active delay on this cruiser requires much more effort from the driver.

During a recent visit of the Dutch nieuwsmotor.nl to the KTM factory in Austria, Head of Development of street bikes, Robert Prielinger, announced the coming of new Super Duke and Adventure models for 2013. The new twins took longer to develop, according to Prielinger, because the company developed new electronics. Porsche is collaborating with KTM on the new technology, specifically for the ABS on the SMT. Although the successor to the 990 Adventure was ready at the end of 2010, KTM’s Stefan Pierer personally rejected it, because the engine resembled the BMW GS too much. Until 2013, KTM will work on the successors for the Adventure and Super Duke.

Although no specifics were given, KTM plans to produce 1200s, 1000s, and a smaller 700 or 800 version. KTM will use its experience to shed some weight on the models to improve handling. The 2013 Super Duke will have a completely new engine and traction control.

The decrease of sales due to the economy in the past years made the bigger KTMs unprofitable, but the company will continue to produce them with hope of a recovery.

As KTM stated after the victory in the Dakar, a limited production 450 Rally can be had, but don’t get too excited, because it will set you back about 25,000 Euros ($34,000)

Designed by a guy called Harald Cramer, it’s a custom-made time-trial cycle with all sorts of weird and wonderful innovations. The Y-frame shape means that the Oryx is shock-proof and keeps you in contact with the road at all time, and there is a one-sided fork and chain-stay. In time trial races, like the Contre la Montre at the Tour de France, every second counts, that?s why Oryx possesses an identical pair of wheels which can be removed by the push of a button.

Made of carbon composite, the handlebars, stem and fork are all one piece, with the ergonomic seat post and saddle integrated into the frame. Handlebars connect to frame via a pivot, and the seat even has a hole in it to keep you cool while you work the pedals.

Honda Chopper – futuristic motorcycle concept
We see modders and bikers adorning their motorbikes with whacky features, just to grab attention, on a somewhat regular basis nowadays. These fluent bikes, when they snarl on the roads, make heartbeats stop. Well, if you are already getting goose bumps imagining one, then check out the Honda Chopper designed by Pete Norris that seeks to combine form with functionality.

Pete’s bike has been fitted with long front suspensions, which makes it look quite different. A feet forward seating arrangement will endow the rider with total comfort while riding it. Its handle bars face downwards to ensure easy maneuverability. The designer has always loved the supersonic bike from Return of the Jedi and agrees that he has derived some inspiration from it.

The motorbike has been wedged with a powerful biofuel engine, which will make it roar like a monster. Apart from this, the wheel hubs come embedded with electric motors. Normally, futuristic vehicles, which have been caked with sci-fi features, don’t rank high on the functionality graph.

Honda Chopper, with a crazy outline, is a practical vehicle and will zoom on the road with the latest technology. Its attention grabbing facade and speedy status are bound to make hearts skip a beat.

Kawasaki has been producing ATVs since 1981 and has been a technology leader, introducing the first 400cc ATV engine in 1993. Kawasaki has a well-earned reputation for building tough, long-lasting ATVs and UTVs. Its Brute Force line of Utility ATVs has long been an industry leader, while its KFX450R Sport quad and Teryx UTV lineup are also world class. \atv.com\

2012 KX™450F highlights begin with the Supercross winning DNA of last year’s bike. The advanced design of the aluminum perimeter frame and dominating motor received a host of refinements to create a more compact and mass-centralized chassis propelled by more useable power than ever. Headlining the technological charge, the KX450F features an all new Launch Control Mode, which changes DFI settings with the push of a button to maximize traction out of the starting gate. This is accomplished without sacrificing any of the mid-range grunt or straight-line speed that made the KX450F famous.

No other production motocrosser offers a higher degree of adjustability to the rider interface or engine character than the new 2012 KX450F. With a choice of four different handlebar positions, two footpeg positions, and two optional plug-in DFI settings (plus virtually unlimited DFI mapping capabilities with the use of Accessory Kawasaki Racing Software Kit) – thanks to its advanced Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®) system – the KX450F is uniquely able to adapt to changing track and surface conditions and meet the needs of a surprisingly wide range of riders.
